Clamshells are available manufactured from RPET, APET, PET

(RPET) Recycled PolyEthylene Terephthalate
(APET) Amorphous PolyEthylene Terephthalate
(PET) PolyEthylene Terephthalate.

A very inert, durable plastic (polymer) commonly used in the
manufacture of the typical clear Soda Pop bottles.

PVC (poly vinyl chloride) is also available for use in some clamshell designs.
Clamshells with either plastics can be manufactured in colors, if volumes are
sufficient.
